LTC DeForest Barton (42d MP Group Customs)

I just learned today that Colonel Barton passed away a few years ago.  I was trying to locate him to invite him to our 3d MP Customs Reunion, Branson, MO-found a phone number for him and spoke to his son in Austin, TX.  The son advised me that he had passed.  Unknown what COD was.

On another note, you are doing a dynamite job in continuing the tradition-keep up the good work!

542nd MP Co. Fort Brooke, PR
Hello all, I was part of the 542 MP Co. at Fort Brooke, Puerto Rico from 1962-65. It was garrison duty as well as Armed Force Police in San Juan. Should have re-upped.....little late now. I was also part of the MP Detachment stationed at the West Coast Radio and Relay Transmitting Station, outside Davis, California.

Laurie Birmingham

Hello,

I am the great niece of Col. C.V. Cadwell who is honored in your hall of fame museum.  He was a great man from all I've been told.  I barely remember him personally as I was just a babe in arms when we would visit him.  But I do have many artifacts of his and I'm considering sending them to your museum.  I'm very interested to know if you are aware that he is considered the Savior of the Samarai Sword in Japan still today.  Please have someone contact me if you will and we can chat more about my great Uncle Vic.  Many thanks, Laurie Birmingham

Hey

I was an MP from '87 to '92 having served @ Ft. Hood with the 401st MP Co. and LEA Traffic Div.  I left there in 91 for Alaska with the 472nd MP Co. Ft. Wainwright.  I then ETD in March of 92 where I went into the reserves with the 344th MP Co. New Haven, CT.

I'm now a police officer with the Connecticut State Supreme Court Police Department as personal security for some Justices.

Great site.  Love it.  Just remembering how being an MP shaped my career.  Thanks

Salute to the Vets

Hello,

Just wanted to send out a Salute to all of those who have served and those who have given the ultimate price for all of us to be FREE.  I served 22 years in the MP Corps and I am now retired working as a DACP at Fort Stewart/HAAF, Georgia.  Thanks again for those who have served to "Serve, Protect and Defend" this great country of ours.
