MEMORIAL GROVE

Welcome to the Military Police Regimental Walkway
The Military Police Regimental Walkway and Memorial Grove has come a long way over the years. You can visit the Grove just about any time of day when the weather is nice and you will see people of all ages paying homage to our Regiment's heroes as well as all MPs past, present and future. That's what it is all about.
MPRA's effort to call attention to the men and women of our ranks has really paid off. If you were to visit the grove today you would see a bronze crossed pistol archway that has become known as the "Gateway to the Regiment". You would see many granite benches that have been dedicated and many display the names of Soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Thousands of bricks have been installed that honor the individual Soldier as well as units. You would be able to find any brick by simply punching the name in to the state of the art kiosk that rest beneath the newly installed gazebo. It's truly an amazing and awe inspiring place.
The 2010 Installation has been completed which brings to the grove a 10 foot high bronze replica of the World War II era MP Soldier who is directing traffic on the battlefield in the "Of the Troops and for the Troops" art piece. Two additional walls were installed for units to dedicate plaques and a bridge over a historical marker leads to the completed foundation for the walkway. Lights were installed throughout the Grove which now allows for visits after dark.
I encourage you to visit the Grove or at least take the virtual tour that is offered here on our web page. There is no doubt that the Grove has truly become a place of remembrance.
