Connecticut Approves Comparative Certification for MPs

Connecticut’s Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) has approved a comparative certification for Military Police. It is similar to if a certified police officer from another state were to come to CT and was looking to become law enforcement in this state. The MP is still required to go through the hiring process, but this program allows departments an alternative to sending MPs through the academy. The program will allow people to complete training requirements at the discretion of the hiring agency and waives the academy requirement.
